Aeshna mixta was found as new to Finland in 2002. Sympecma paedisca was found as new to Finland in 2004.

Ophiogomphus cecilia was protected in 2006 (the other four species were protected earlier).

The records are based on a publication by Matti Hämäläinen and Pekka Valtonen (1997, Trollsländornas utbredning i de naturhistoriska provinserna i Finland. Nordisk Odonatologisk Forum 3(1): 10-11.). The data is updated: six new records from 1997-2001 are included. Also, two new species and 48 new provincial records from 2002-2007 are included.
